KOREAN ARTISTS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The new Korean Artists Mentorship Program will serve to support new and emerging Korean diasporic artists. The program will pair artists with established mentors in their fields.

Description:

Are you an emerging Korean artist looking for mentorship from a professional in your field? Are you an established Korean artist looking to mentor and get connected with emerging artists in your discipline? Seoulful Productions’s Korean Artists Mentorship Program provides support to new and emerging Korean diasporic artists by pairing them with established mentors in their field. All artistic practices are welcome. Please note that this mentorship will focus on professional development, rather than art classes or personal therapy.

As a volunteer program, there is no payment for participation in KAM, as either a mentor or mentee. Mentors volunteer their time and expertise, and Seoulful Productions connects them to menteess as a facilitating entity.

The six month mentorship period runs from June-December 2026 and is “at will,” meaning that mentors or mentees can choose to withdraw their participation at any time. Mentors and Mentees will meet once a month for one hour, at the time and place of their mutual choosing (meeting online is accepted and encouraged). Mentees will be expected to prepare questions for their mentorship meetings beforehand. Mentors can provide guidance, accountability, resources, etc.

There is a mandatory orientation over Zoom for all mentors and mentees before the start of the mentorship period on June 1, 2026. The program will culminate in an in-person celebration for all participants, hosted by Seoulful Productions.
